This New York Style Shutter Hinge Set is designed with a 2 1/4" offset used most commonly for mounting exterior shutters on homes with a brick exterior.  The "Throw" of this hinge set is 4 1/2" (throw = distance from pintle base to the shutter surface closest to window when shutter is in closed position).
This set mounts 2 shutters (2 hinges per shutter) to 1 window.  Purchase a quantity of 1 for each window with two shutters (1 window = 1 set, 2 windows = 2 sets, etc...).
