Vintage 1940-50's Nettleton Size 9 Mens Leather Riding Boots

This is a beautifully made pair of vintage leather riding boots. They’ve been in a closet in our house for years, though I don’t know why. I found a faint stamp on the bottom of the sole that says: A.E. NETTLETON CO./ SYRACUSE NY USAThey are perhaps 1940s or 1950s. And close to a men’s size 9. One of the boots has a small “9" inked inside the top just inside the boot, and both have a number that looks like D23021 which we think is a serial number. They fit my husband, who wears a 9 or 9-1/2" in modern shoes. The pull up tabs on the inside are present and intact. The leather is a bit dry, there are some small areas where the stitching is worn out, and they need new laces.
