    Description

    Very nice pair of vintage Marlborough brand English made tall riding boots. These are men's size 11D. These are an estate sale find in their original box as shown in the photo. The shaft of the boot measures 20 inches from ground to the tallest part of the top edge, and measures 16 inches around the calf area at the widest point. The box shows Model 1591 XW Mens Black Dressage Top 11D. The soles of the boots look like they were barely worn and there is no wear visible on the heels. Soles measure 12 and 1/2 inches from toe to back of heel. The only damage I can find is that the boot strap on the outer calf side of the right boot is torn through but could be repaired easily.     I am a size 11-12, with high arches and found these difficult to put on. If you have high arches, I do not recommend these. They are beautiful, however. You can't go wrong. Once I got them on, the length of the boot seemed a true 11.
